The Virginia Horticultural Foundation is a 501(c)(3)
nonprofit organization that provides educational programs to assist and inform the general public and professionals in effective and
efficient horticultural pursuits, landscaping, environmental concerns and general gardening activities.
The Foundation sponsors two annual events:
The Virginia Flower & Garden Expo
and the Mid-Atlantic Horticulture
Short Course.
The Virginia Flower & Garden Expo
is a 3-day event that enhances public awareness of the benefits of
horticultural activities, displays new and efficient techniques in
gardening, and presents a variety of landscape displays in a fun,
educational setting.
The 2012 Virginia Flower & Garden Expo (Creating the Beautiful Tomorrow) will be held
Jan. 20 - 22 at the Virginia Beach
Convention Center.
Mid-Atlantic Horticulture Short
Course provides seminars, lectures and presentations by
horticultural experts on proper horticultural techniques,
environmental sensitivity, pesticide certification and overall
instruction in proper care for soil, landscaping and particular
varieties of flowers, shrubs and trees for professionals. The 2012
conference will be held
Jan. 30 - Feb. 2, 2012, at the Newport News Marriott at City Center, Newport News, Virginia.
