The Virginia Horticultural Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides educational programs to assist and inform the general public and professionals in effective and efficient horticultural pursuits, landscaping, environmental concerns and general gardening activities.

Two separate events are sponsored each year – The Virginia Flower & Garden Show and the Mid-Atlantic Horticulture Short Course.

The Virginia Flower & Garden Show is a 3-day event that enhances public awareness of the benefits of horticultural activities, displays new and efficient techniques in gardening, and presents a variety of landscape displays in a fun, educational setting. The 2008 Mid-Atlantic Home & Flower Show will be produced in conjunction with the Tidewater Builder Association (TBA) from February 14 – 17, 2008, at the Virginia Beach Convention Center.

Mid-Atlantic Horticulture Short Course provides seminars, lectures and presentations by horticultural experts on proper horticultural techniques, environmental sensitivity, pesticide certification and overall instruction in proper care for soil, landscaping and particular varieties of flowers, shrubs and trees for professionals. The 2008 conference will be held at The Founders Inn and Spa, conveniently located off I-64 (Exit 286B) in Virginia Beach. The dates are January 27 – February 1, 2008.
